Shorefield Holiday Homes is a family run business with 6 parks along the south coast. The company wanted to comprehensively update their existing web presence to provide a more stimulating and interactive web experience for both existing and prospective customers.

A substantial focus for the new design was to highlight the enjoyment and benefits of the Shorefields holiday park experience. In particular to highlight the facilities available for each park and ensure website users could easily find the information they required. The client also required the ability to update relevant website content themselves and also wanted the functionality to allow customers to book holidays online.

Rocktime provided the comprehensive solution to Shorefield Holiday's website development requirements. The project incorporated a full site design, the Rocktime CMS (content management system), online booking integration and the Rocktime email marketing application (EPrecision).

Rocktime proposed the complete redevelopment of the website with a focus on interactivity and usability. Users can view details on all the parks through one interactive flash map and click through to comprehensive park details as required. Each park was given its own entry page that instantly provides all of the facilities offered by the park. The site constantly utilises a range of relevant imagery to enhance the users visual perception. Each park also offers its own interactive map which allows users to zoom in and view the park layout and facilities available. Clear 'calls to action' are constantly displayed such as phone, email and post icons to encourage direct response.

Rocktime's ongoing development with Shorefield included the integration of a third party reservation/ booking system with the website. This substantially enhances the options available for online visitors and provides streamlined administration for the client. Users are able to check availability for all parks online (including being offered alternative available dates) and subsequently book and pay online.

Rocktime's Content Management System Logic CMS enables Shorefield administrators to update and maintain relevant content on the website. In addition Rocktime's E-Marketing application 'EPrecision' provides the client with the ability to add newsworthy content to bespoke newsletter email templates to send to selected recipients from their database.

The redeveloped website has enhanced Shorefield's online presence as a contemporary holiday destination for a wide ranging target market. By communicating the facilities of the parks in such an interactive way this further reflects the impressive and informative nature of the business. Each one of the six Shorefield parks has been given an identity in their own right and commensurate facilities highlighted.
