New Business Sales Executive

As our experienced Sales Executive, you will be the face of Rocktime and you will have a proven ability to hit or exceed revenue targets. Ideally coming from a digital or software sales background, you will be responsible for creating revenue streams from new business acquisition supported by active marketing campaigns. You will have a strong understanding of the challenges presented from all aspects of the sales process and value long-term customer success.

We will bring out the best in you, but you will need an entrepreneurial ‘hunter’ spirit, be highly motivated and fluent with technology. We will support you in understanding what the ‘ideal customer’ characteristics are, and their business requirements, technology stack and competitive landscape. 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with prospective customers via outbound activity, and follow up on leads generated
  • Expertly research companies and contacts via the internet and other sales resources to prioritise prospects.
  • Possess and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit in developing new markets.
  • Responsible for generating recurring revenue from new and existing clients.
  • Attend networking events & industry events as required.
  • Identify tender/bid opportunities, and write compelling bid responses.
  • Professionally communicate with all appropriate levels of decision makers and influences internally and externally with prospects and clients
 

Measures of Success:

  • Achieve agreed sales revenue targets per rolling quarter.
  • Establish strong revenue lines in both new business and repeat business.
  • Demonstrate ability to progress opportunities to qualified sales stages through appointment setting, demos, follow up’s through to contracts and closure.
 

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Proven ability to develop and close business in the SaaS or digital industry
  • Demonstrate professional face-to-face presentation, verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with an emphasis on priorities and goal setting.
  • Ability to assist Marketing and Sales Leadership to create/implement pro-active sales campaigns.
  • Technical ability to understand client and technology challenges and ability to recommend solutions.
  • Ability to quickly acquire a strong understanding of our positioning, products, services, and our competition in the industry.
  • Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to other staff members and customers alike, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must have a desire to keep up-to-date on technology trends, developments & best practices.
  • Must have a positive demeanour and display resilience.
  • Strong admin skills including a key eye for detail.
  • Clean current driving licence.
 

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in enterprise software sales (SaaS), digital industry.
  • Or, Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a business to business sales environment.
  • Have formal sales methodology exposure, e.g. SPIN, Miller Heiman.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Practical knowledge of CRM.
