Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager
Full Time, Permanent
£55K OTE (up to £35K Basic)
Rocktime Ltd, Poole, Dorset

Technology may be changing the way you do your job, it’s also changing the way our clients do theirs. At Rocktime we believe that data and technology are the key ingredients to transform companies, industries, society, and even the workplace. For 19 years we have been successfully developing software that can transform processes and deliver tangible benefits to organisations across both the public and private sector.

Our products are often found replacing a difficult or manual process like tracking data in Excel spreadsheets or managing financial payments. As such, Rocktime is just the place to take your career to the next level.

As our Business Development Manager, you will be the face of Rocktime and you will have a proven ability to hit or exceed revenue targets. Ideally coming from a digital or SaaS background, you will be responsible for working with our telemarketing and senior management teams to establish target markets and create revenue streams both from new business acquisition and account growth. You will value long-term customer success.

We will bring out the best in you, but you will need an entrepreneurial ‘hunter’ spirit, be highly motivated and fluent with technology. We will support you in understanding what the ‘ideal customer’ characteristics are, and their business requirements, technology stack and competitive landscape.

To land this job, you will need to be well versed in building strong interpersonal relationships using email, phone calls, video chat and face-to-face meetings. You will also have great written and spoken communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the challenges presented from all aspects of the sales process.

From day one I have found Rocktime to be a really accepting and friendly place to work. The culture has been one that is welcoming and willing to help whenever needed, it’s really helped me to grow in my role and be the best I can.
