Making a fresh impact in digital

The 2018 Digital Impact Awards finalists have been announced and Rocktime is thrilled to reveal that verso™ has been shortlisted in the ‘Best use of Digital in the Public Sector’ Category.

The Digital Impact Awards are at the pinnacle of the digital industry and recognise the need for modernisation and transformation in the way the public sector delivers services to citizens. By using technology such as verso™ the sector can make the shift from legacy in-house systems to modern cloud-based solutions which allow 24/7 ‘always-on’ council services and provide a streamlined workflow process for council’s officers.

Rocktime has been shortlisted for work with Sefton Council, a metropolitan borough in Merseyside. Sefton Council has a statutory requirement to administer and process Mandatory (HMO) Licenses and was also seeking to introduce Additional (HMO) and Selective Licensing for the private rented sector. The council was keen to explore the market for a cloud-based solution to replace the software currently used to process its license applications.

The verso™ system was delivered on time and on budget. It provides a robust online application system which simplifies a complicated process for citizens whilst enabling council staff the ability to validate and issue licenses to successful applicants. Along with a comprehensive application management and process function for Council officers, the system allows officers to spend more of their working day on the enforcement of the Council’s housing policy, reducing admin time spent rekeying paper applications and producing documentation for licensee’s.

To complement the above, Sefton Council has also won recently several GeoPlace™ Awards for its use of the LLPG with verso™ for:

  • Highly Commended in Exemplar Award for Software Solution Housing Licensing Application
  • Gold Performance in Data Quality Award

I am delighted that our hard work has been recognised by the judges at the Digital Impact Awards. This is due to our tireless work ethic, a commitment to excellence and a focus on consistently delivering significant process improvements for our Local Authority clients who rely on our technology to power their daily activities. To get this kind of acknowledgment means a great deal and a positive reflection on the Rocktime team.
