Supporting Grass Roots Football Dorset County Cup Winners 2021

The pandemic has had an incredible impact on us all and this has been felt perhaps more greatly on our children. The lockdown halted all sports activity until recently so, with the release of certain sports, its been great to see the enthusiasm of boys and girls to get back to doing what they love.

Rocktime has sponsored Grass Roots Football over the last few years in the form of a local under 13's football team Sturminster Marshall. Their journey throughout the year has seen them achieve success and feel the weight of defeat but always with a strong belief in their own abilities and that of the team as a whole. With a trio of focussed and motivated coaches led by Martin Jobe the result of their weekly hard work training with the boys is becoming winners of the Dorset County Cup.

On Sunday 6th June 2021 at Hamworthy Football Club in Poole, Dorset, Sturminster Marshall took on Wimborne Town at the final following a number of previous round successes to get to the final. With strength and conviction the team took the game to Wimborne Town and controlled the game from the start. With goals in both halves Sturminster Marshall won 3:0 and became worthy winners of the 2021 cup.

As the football year comes to an end its good to see them finish on a high remembering some of the good times of the past season whilst looking forward to what achievements they can attain in the next with all players signing up again.
